1930 Miraco Tapestry Grille Console

Most likely in response to other manufacturers like Philco and RCA
who had picture type grille cloths, Midwest introduced their version;
the 'Tapestry Grille Console'.

This 1930 radio had 9 tubes including 4 of the latest Screen Grid tubes.
It measures 45.5" high, 28.5" wide and 17.5" deep.
The set has a 8" electromagnetic speaker and illuminated dial.
The grill cloth is described as "beautiful velour tapestry, very rich looking"
although I find it to be some type of upholstery material.
